Ryggskinnens D3O-materiale gjør at skinnen former seg godt etter ryggen samtidig som den umiddelbart stivner under slag og gir level 2 beskyttelse langs hele ryggraden.

Vi i SafeMC anbefaler alle motorsyklister å alltid bruke separat ryggskinne, selv på kortere turer. Vi anbefaler separate skinner fremfor de innebygget i jakken, da de separate som regel dekker hele ryggraden, er festet med seler over både skuldre og mage, og derfor har større sannsylighet for å ligge der de skal i et uhell.
